Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces you can use to transform your life. No matter what is going on around you in this moment take a minute, sit back, smile and think about how wonderful it is to be you. So often we spend much of our time dreaming about what we don’t have or worrying about what is wrong with our lives that we don’t appreciate what we have right now. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and be grateful for all that we have. Start living in the now, appreciating what you have right this second. Life is wonderful, magical, and every day is a gift. Find the little things to be thankful for that pass by without us even noticing.
Gratitude is a choice. We can choose to constantly complain or always want more, or we can choose to be happy with what we have achieved and be thankful. How many times have you said or heard someone say, “Oh I’ll be happy when I get this”, or “I’ll be happy when this happens”, and when it arrives they go chasing after the next big desire and forget to be joyful now? There is no better way to turn your life around than to enjoy what you have and live in the moment. Try putting aside 20 minutes to just sit and think about the magnificent parts of your life you have to be grateful for, whether it’s big like your family or job, or small like that kind word spoken when you needed it most. If you do this often, by the law of attraction you will see more and more things come flooding in every day.
Take a walk in nature, smile at a stranger you pass by on the street, tell someone you love just how much they mean to you.
Striving for more is wonderful and having goals is a necessity, but what’s the point if we forget to enjoy what we have right now? The universe is all around you, living and expressing itself through you. Marvel at its majesty and don’t forget to smile.
