Summer has been and gone. The air has turned crisp and the leaves are going brown. All around we are surrounded by the gold, browns & reds of nature. I’m sure I’m not the only one of us who gets a kick out of this time of year. There is something quite comforting about cuddling up in an oversized jumper after a summer of minimal clothes.
The seasons are changing and so are the styles. Gone are the dainty necklaces of the summer. Autumn brings with its misty mornings and falling leaves bold jewellery pieces, statement necklaces, and large beads made from wood and stone. Chokers that look like a cowboy hat string or as strong and thick as the cuffs we’ve been wearing.
Now that the summer has passed and the nights fold in, we see a change outside our windows and in the jewellery stores we pass. Autumn is the season for gold, so it’s unsurprising it’s the colour of the moment along with silver and onyx.
A few summer trends chase us into the Fall. The bracelet is back in a big way and this time it has come in the form of gemstones, pearl and steel. Delicate link bracelets that can be dressed up or down or a large cuff bracelet straight out of the ‘70s. The best thing about this season is it’s all about change: try wearing opposing earrings, geometric shapes are a great way to do this. Let your individuality be deafening. Large hoop earrings or bright tassels combined with an adventurous statement necklace or three.
Go wild, let the boldest you come out. This season it can never be too much or too distinctive, let your imagination run wild and have fun every step of the way.
